Web Design for Non-Profit Organizations
I try to work with three or four non-profit entities each year, no matter what their budget. Lots of them need help with creating a website that they can maintain without having to email me about it, taking donations online, or integrating their website with their Facebook page or email campaigns. I typically recommend the lowest-cost strategy to accomplish all of these (or other goals) and provide my services at a significantly discounted rate.
For more about how I work with non-profit clients, here’s an outline of my typical project.

City of Piedmont, California
Website Design for a Municipal Government
I have enjoyed working with David Mihm for the past four years on the City of Piedmont’s web site. David’s eye for design and his in depth coding knowledge have helped our site become the community resource that it is today. He has done a great job of seamlessly weaving technology from outside vendors into our site, without sacrificing our distinctive look. He is a pleasure to work with and is incredibly responsive. I’ve been pleased to recommend David several times and will continue to do so.

Piedmont Unified School District

You simply will not find a better web designer than David Mihm. In my 20 years of administrative experience in public education, I have never worked with a more attentive, thorough, and professional technology consultant. You simply will not find a better web designer than David Mihm.
–Michael Brady, Assistant Superintendent, Piedmont Unified School District
Muscatine Community School District
Website Design for an Iowa School District
David was amazing to work with throughout the entire process. He provided some great advice and pre-planning going into the project, kept the project on task and showed an amazing amount of patience when dealing with the wrinkles that invariably are thrown into the mix. I do not believe he ever told us that something couldn’t be done and tactfully guided us past any hurdles that arose. Even his crazy, busy schedule didn’t seem to get in the way of our time schedule! I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Piedmont Middle School
Website Design for a California Middle School
David guided a diverse group of stakeholders through a major redesign of the Piedmont Middle School website. I use this site as the gold standard when suggesting design changes to other clients.
–Mike Voorhies, Webmaster, Piedmont Middle School
Website Design for a Historic Home and Wedding Venue
Our small non-profit museum web site was 10 years out of date and almost impossible to navigate when David Mihm took on a re-design. Working with a limited budget he helped us identify specific goals for the site, gave us several design options and created a beautiful new look that reflects the museum’s high standards. Best of all, David gave us a web site that is easy to update, can be managed by volunteers and will serve us well for years to come.

David Mihm Web Design produced a terrific website featuring comprehensive information about our non-profit school support organization. The website offers visual organization, graphics quality, usability, and a design and content pattern that is appropriate for a non-profit entity. David is professional, responsive, and presents creative ideas and solutions based on the specific needs of our organization.
