Jamie Smith, owner of Flagstone Custom Homes, was unhappy with the lack of responsiveness from his previous website designer. He liked the simple look of his former website, but he needed a site that would be easy to update with new homes as they came on the market. Additional problems with the former site included its cumbersome navigation and rather dull homepage.
To spice up the homepage, I added a Flash animation featuring large photos of some of Flagstone's excellent work. While maintaining the simple look-and-feel the previous site inspired, I dramatically simplified the navigation, organized homes by neighborhood, and ensured that visitors could browse all available listings by making just one click away from the homepage. I also integrated Google Maps' functionality, enabling visitors to see at a glance where Flagstone's homes and neighborhoods were located.
