Version 1.0.1: A Redesign After Just Two Weeks

MIHMORANDUM NO. 10 | May 3rd, 2007Reader Comments (0)

Apologies to any regular readers over the first week of Mihmorandum’s existence, but I was just not happy with the rather direct translation of the design of my main website to my blog. Aesthetically, it seemed to lack some visual drama, and in general it just looked a bit “Web 2.0″-ish for my taste, albeit without the requisite color scheme. (More on what defines the Web 2.0 look coming in tomorrow’s post.)

The first draft of Mihmorandum, so to speak, was more of a learning effort with WordPress–which, by the way, is a wonderfully easy-to-use tool; I’m now officially a convert from Blogger & will be creating any new clients’ blogs using WP’s interface. Armed with a better toolset after a few weeks of experimenting, I wanted to dive in & try a few more advanced CSS maneuvers and try my hand at a little less conventional design.

Anyway, I’d love to hear your thoughts on my blog’s makeover, whoever’s reading out there, so feel free to leave a comment or drop me a line.
